Well - - Where do you start. We were married at the ICD in 2004 and had returned every year, up until 2008, to enjoy what the hotel had to offer.

Food...... As good as we had always remembered it; we never found the need to use the three speciality restaurants as there was always enough in the other two to satisfy our requirements.

Room.... Good enough for what you need them for - cleaned daily, maid(s) always looked after us so we looked after them

Drinks - Despite a lot of posts we never found the beer/shorts to be watered down - bar-staff in all bars excellent & were tipped accordingly.

Grounds & Hotel - As we remembered, grounds meticulously groomed by "men with big knives" NO BLACK & DECKER HERE - hotel well placed, clean and welcoming as always.

And so my compliments go on . . however . .

My gripe - the clientele.... The reason why we returned to the hotel year after year was because it attracted a more well balanced & slightly older crowd. When there was a wedding, there was a mixed age range and everybody behaved themselves.

Now (in our opinion) a holiday belongs on one of the late night cable TV channels - - I suggest "IBEROSTAR UNCOVERED" (or the American Equivalent!!

If you wish to have a good nights sleep then retire before about 9 o'clock in the evening because if you don't from 1am onwards you are bombarded with noise and scenes that belong on a TV show.

After being a very loyal couple who, had taken a lot of people to the IBC since 2004, we will NEVER return. It has become a haven for groups of lads/laddettes who have no respect for anybody other than themselves and whose purpose for their holiday seems to be drink as much as we can and (-**-) everybody else - especially if they complain.
If you're not asleep by 2 o'clock, don't bother - and if you were - wakey wakey it's time for a swim!!

I never thought I would write a review like this but this sums up our holiday to the ICD in 2008 - what a waste of money and I can't understand why the management have let it degenerate to this.

I know that, everybody has their own opinion of hotels, but this was our favourite on the North Coast; and one to which we will never return for a holiday!!
Tropical Regards

I had a friend visit me for a week and I stayed at Iberostar with him. It's pretty good. The hotel is nice, the beach is great, the food was decent - what you'd expect for an all inclusive. The only thing is the place really dies down at night time, so if you like to party you have to leave the resort. The good news is literally right outside the resort gates is a Disco/Casino that's packed most nights of the week. Don't bother with the disco on the resort, super lame.

Having stayed at several hotels in the POP area, this one for sure gets my vote as the best in the area. We spent a weekend there a couple of years ago and had no problems at all. Most importantly, the rooms/bathrooms and common areas were clean. The food was good too and I especially liked the healthy section they had for breakfast.
