Hello Everyone my name is Chris and I am currently doing research on relocating to the Caribbean and this website is a goldmine! My girlfriend and I have both dreamed of life in the Caribbean and we are sick of living through northern US winters. The DR is very high on our list. I will read up on the forum before I start hammering out newbie and FAQs that are probably already covered somewhere on here. Here is a quick one that may not be covered... I am a very talented and educated musician. I primarily play guitar and Latin Music is one of my specialties... on both classical and electric guitar. Everywhere I have went in the US I have not had a problem immersing myself in the local music scene.... do you see that being a problem for me in the DR? I also want to know if there is an electronic dance music scene sparking up in local nightlife at all as it has so much in the US these past 10 years. I am a producer as well.
