Traveling down on monday night and just lost a filling and may not be able to get it taken care of Monday here in NY. Anyone got a good dentist on North coast and what the cost should be?

Having avoided dentists for a very long time, I took the plunge and went to Dra Monica Garcia to whom WW refers. She is gentle, efficient and, in my opinion, does a great job. I have another appointment with her on Wednesday.

Dr. Freddy Lepe 809-586-6666 in Puert Plata is very good. He is located on Calle Villa Neueva (about a block from Central Park). He speaks your language as he is from the Bronx. Office is clean and modern. His price for a root canal and crown was very reasonable. If I remember, about three hundred dollars, all in, including xrays, etc.
@ Patrick - Dra Monica Garcia comes highly recommended.

Totally agree, have sent a lot of people there and everyone is completely satisfied.......
Thank you all for the great advise, hopefully I can take care of this on monday before I go down but I will definately save this info for future use if needed.

The aforementioned Dr Fredy Lepe has a group practice with three or four colleagues, of whom two or more are orthodontists:
Calle Duarte #75 corner of Villanueva, Puerto Plata. Coming from Parque Central up Beller, turn right into Villanueva and the surgery is two or three (small) blocks further on, on your right. The Edenorte office is on the opposite side of Beller where you turn into Villanueva.
