Noticed this in the news this evening, I wonder what will become of the car owner?

[h=3]Car parts thief shot dead in Santiago[/h] The National Police says that the owner of a SUV shot and killed a 26-year old man, Roberto Santiago Rodriguez after discovering him in the act of stealing parts from his vehicle.

The vehicle was parked in Taveras Oeste near the Monument in Santiago. Rodriguez who lived in Los Jazmines died later in Jose Maria Cabral Hospital, as reported in Listin Diario.

Nothing will happen to the Car Owner. Thieves are shot, stabbed, beat to death, and killed in one way or another everyday in DR. It is public justice.

Once a friend took me to the airport in his pickup truck and stupid me, when we stopped to eat at a restaurant, left my suitcases in the truck bed while we were in the restaurant.
When we came out, 6 Dominican guys were beating some Haitian man to a pulp. I have never seen a beating as brutal in all of my life. After the haitian man could no longer move, someone walked over to the curb, picked up my carryon suitcase and asked "Now who's is this?" and then I got a stern talking to in some very fast Spanish regarding leaving my items in areas where thieves could get to them. When we left the restaurant, the haitian guy was still on the ground, I don't even know if he was conscious at that point.

I was very new to DR at the time. I even (stupidly) tried to stop them from beating the guy (not even knowing it was because of my suitcase), my friend on the other hand just held me back with one arm and recorded it on his cell phone with the other. That's DR...

That sort of thing has happened at Playa grande beach.

Somebody pilfered something while the owner was in the water.

No problem....... the locals chased him, beat him and returned the item to where it came from.

Why did your friend record it?

Death and violence is Dominican porn. Just imagine a your average guys reacting to a couple of women having sex on the beach, chances are those that could might catch it on their phone to show friends.

It was actually a group of them and they were known in the area to steal front grills, wheel/rim centers and the taps/covers of tires mounted of the back.

Nothing happened to the man who shot him, or at least he is back home now.

A slightly different outcome from the Monkey place in the North.
