She has earlier been using an insurance her father has via his work, but there has been some problems with it, so I want her to have an insurance that I know is valid when she needs it.

She lives and studies in Santiago, and I only need insurance for her. She need an insurance that covers typical going to the doctors/specialists, and also of course coverage if something happens. If posible some small dental plan is included it would be good, but not vital. Also if it included insurance that can be used when getting a tourist visa to Europe, it would be great, so we do not need to get a seperat for that.

I have done some searching here, and as far as I can find out people are suggesting Ars Humano/Universal. Found some numbers, not sure they are still valid:
ars universal: 809 200 1283
ars humano: 809 200 4903
Ars Santiago ?? 809 247 3335

So I am looking for advices on the type of insurance she should get (roughly the cost), name of company and what option to get. So all she has to do is just pay for it/sign the insurance. And I want to know that it is a good one, that will not generate problems when trying to use it, and are valid all over DR.

Thanks in advance! :classic:

You can look on their web pages for the different plans. Usually any plan that covers for someone for travel abroad is going to be much more expensive. For that you will have to get an international policy and if you are only going to need it for a short time visit abroad, then get a short term travel policy.

Any valid reason that her parents,or she, doesn't buy the insurance????
The DR has "Public Hospitals" that treat citizens without personal funds to pay their own way.
You need to ask yourself,"What would she do if I weren't around to pay?"
That is the "?" you need to ask yourself before you pay for anything she asks you to pay for.
(Partial List:Sick Mother,Father/Sister/Brother/"Dog Cat",CELULAR,"So I can alway hear your voice",but actually because she is NEVER home and doesn't want you to know!
"Tuition","Englis" clases,ComputerClasses, and then "Lets get "our" own apartment,so we can be together when you are here,)AND so my real "Novio" can be with me when you are not!
Oh Well,yet another "Smitten Extrangero"!!!
May God Have Mercy On Your Wallet!"

hehe relax Criss....you guys are really negativ... yeah I know, many people get milked for the last dollar...I know...I have been in contact with my share of women trying to use me, but noone of them were dominicanas. In fact I have had no bad experience with any dominicanas, every one I were in contact with before starting the relationship with my morena bella, were good girls.

Yes, there are valid reasons for me wanting to get her insurance, one I stated above.
No, she did not ask me for it, she wants to use her fathers, but I am tired of being problems with it. She has postponed going to the doctor enough times already.
And no she is not makeing it up.
We have been in a relationship for more then 2 years, and we have meet 7 times during that time. She is a real catch!

Didn't you say in another thread that she is studying medicine and at a medical facility all day? Hence your need to find an apartment for her? Why can't she be seen while she is there for what is bothering her?

That's a rap.

Belongs in the clown bin based on responses.

OP, a few solid advises for you.

You can take that as insurance that she needs to get her own!!!!!!
