Has he been around a long time, (it seems he has and so deserves all he gets) or just another mug who got tied up with the wrong people and stung for it? (like so many before him unfortunaltely)

whether he got set up, was using for personal use only (which I doubt), he had to get the drugs from somewhere. I have no use for these kinds of people. I do hope his punishment is stiff.

At first glance, the amounts don't seem like a big arrest. Not defending him, but it'd be easy enough to set someone up with that amount. The guns and money may be typical of what some expats may around the house.

Like a lot of things that are reported, there's certainly more to the story.

Kind of what the threads for isn't it, until someone has some info then people have to speculate. The law finding drugs and guns in his safe, looks ike he has been set up. I can't make out from the gibberish report if he is connected to the other two arrests or not. Either way he has been playing with someone he shouldn't, maybe made friends or enemies (same thing in some circles) of someone he shouldn't have. They don't just do random checks on random doors without information from someone.

that sucks! never met a guy but spoke to his kid when i was salivating over the baked goodies. hope someone is taking care of the family and business with the owner behind the bars now.
53 grams of coke is very little for an addict, and quite a lot for recreational use. the bottom line is to stay away from drugs in DR. sure, cocaine is way cheaper than in europe or america but so is life.

Did a little search and he has been in jail for over 11 days now in Puerto Plata. The other info I have cannot be verified so I wont post it. Whatever is going on with this person cant be good, because they are keeping it very hush hush. Was lucky to get the heads up about the report from a reader.

Good to not reveal the 'other info' because your first info is already incorrect. Friends of ours spoke with him at the bakery a few days ago.

I think it means he was not arrested when the above poster said, and was more recently arrested. So whether he is in or out I don't know, but saying as the report was dated the 24th of this month (yesterday) I'd hazard a guess he is very much still in, and in trouble.

I still see nothing with dates other than the report from yesterday! The usual useless reporting. It is very odd if he is out after a week for a couple of ounces.
