Hello, we newbies to the forum and just love all the info we are being helped with. We are moving to DR to Bavaro and need info about reliable internet service for my online work in US. Also does anyone know approx rate for cell phone texting to and from USA?

Welcome to DR1 :) Internet service is shaky in Bavaro and there have been many threads with residents comparing and contrasting the different services. My suggestion is to get a dedicated line from Codetel.

I currently use the Orange flybox and it is acceptable especially when comparing it to my old service, Tricom, which was horrendous.
