Anyone know if natural gas on a vehicle is as dangerous as having propane? Or is natural gas less volatile than propane? I know that most propane explosions occur because many drivers install home tanks on their vehicles which aren't designed for this use.

A major difference is propane is heavier than air, and a leak pools in low places. Natural gas is lighter than air and dissipates more rapidly.

NG also has a far lower thermal potential.

BUT

NG has to be stored under very high pressure. Think of that as a high-pressure bomb...every bit as much as propane (which isn't under pressure.)

With propane you'll make 200 miles with one gas tank in your car.
With NG you'll need 5 of them!

Please don't brake hard!!!
