The recent 5 day forecast shows 60% chance of rain during my upcoming visit to Punta Cana. Should I cancel and reschedule or will it be short periods of tropical rain?

Rain comes and goes in DR. I remember anxiously watching weather reports for Juan Dolio for an upcoming trip. It looked like it was gonna rain everyday. When I got there, it was beautiful for the two weeks with a little early morning precipitation every couple of days. Enjoy your stay!

You'll love some cloudiness and rain now and then !!!

Just like Florida this time of year. As long as there is no lightning its great to be in the water. You'll have fun and it doesn't rain in all the bars. Don't change your plans unless you see a cyclone headed there.

I just got back from my 3 week stay....in Bavaro/Punta cana....never rains when I am there....only super hot weather.
