has anyone who is Canadian originally had a legal document such as a birthcirtificate appostilized? Canada did not join in some international agreement so imam wondering how to get a birth certificate done ,that the Dominican process will accept.any suggestion ? Thank you

Apostillating a birthcirtificate CANADIAN YOU SAY,
I had my birth certificate translated to Spanish and legalized by the Dominican Consulate in Toronto. It was accepted for my residency.
