Default Earthquake in santiago just damaged my house in a minor way

The detail around the celing lamp in our bedroom just fell off. Objects fell inside the kitchen cabinets.

There was no earthquake reported in the entire Caribbean last night.

Must have been still shaking to disrupt the keyboard like that .

Shook your hand all the way up to the "R" instead hitting the "C" - Aftershorks

Maybe a drunk truck driver hit your house and ran off?

Or seriously maybe some local "sliding" on your lot?

Even though it was a distance from Santiago, maybe it was the second (1:28am) one mentioned here:

Strange, I am in Bavaro, much closer to where the quakes took place (south of Higuey and La Romana area) than Santiago and we felt nothing...

I am in Santiago as well as the OP and I did not feel anything either. But it did occur in the wee morning hours and unless one of the kids are sick or something, I am usually so deeply asleep at that time of the morning that it would need to be very dramatic to wake me up. Glad for only slight damage to the OP's house.
