Swimming IN Santo Domingo

I live outside the capital but come visit Santo Domingo every once in a while (mostly weekends). With weather this hot these days, I'd like to take a dip when I'm in town.

So, are there decent swimming pools (clean, please!) in Santo Domingo I can visit either free or pay a day fee ? Since I'm never in town for long, it's not worth it for me to join any clubs/gyms with a pool.

Visit Body Shop on Fantino Falco Avenue, in Naco (in front of Centro Comercial Naco). For RD$220 per day, RD$760 per week you can use their pool facility on the roof and the gym facility. Tel. 549-6620.

You could also try the hotels in Santo Domingo. Many have day passes that allow you to use the pool facilities and eat for around DR$200-500, depending upon the hotel.

Also, I have used the pool at Hotel Santo Domingo for DR$100, which includes only pool use and doesn't include food. Maybe call first before trying this out. I am not sure if they still offer this deal to the general public.
