I very seldom use the "PM" feature here.
I respond to a direct question.
I send some to people who posted something that I really admire,or think is really funny.
When I get PMed by someone wishing to "Flame" another poster,I tell them to "Get Under Their Skin",and not in a "*Pi$$ing Contest",thats MY JOB HERE!
When they send me a "PM" to tell me what a "Giant A$$ Hole" I am,I tell them, everybody knows that, you just get the "Memo".
Yesterday I got a really strange "PM".
The guy suggested, that I stop posting so many negative "Things" about him.
He said that he was in business, had recieved many "Awards",and I was costing him clients.
He proposed a "TRUCE".(Maybe He should advertise here on DR1???,and not look for free promotional opportunities??)
I didn't respond to his "PM",and will not take his "suggestion" either.
I don't "PM" anything,that I won't,or already have,or will post on the DR1 Forums.
Besides, don't armies propose a "Truce" when they are "Losing the Battle"???
Anyway, that's MY Story,if the guy wants to post his complaints on a DR1 forum,I would love to humiliate him in public.
Just like always.
Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,he could stop posting his nonsense, and I will not feel the need to correct him publicly.

Don't anyone ask me to identify the individual,I wouldn't do that.
Not like some DR1ers,who forward every negative "PM" they get to ROBERT,as if HE were their "Mommy".
I think a "Man up":pirate::pirate::pirate: is needed by several here on this web site!

He is the kind of guy who prefers to "Remain In The Shadows".
Real men aren't afraid to saywhat they mean,To Your Face.
I don't expect any takes on owning up!

Only the Shadow knows.

Riddle me this batman: Who is in the shadows yet faces the wrath of CC?
Hiding under a rock, but yet scorned and losing work?
Odd to say the least.

If the PM was unsolicited-and maybe unwanted-you're under no "privacy" obligation.

Post it.

With all due respect CC DR1 would be a better place if people were less personally offensive. Heck, I've even cleaned up my act (less derogatory insinuations). I recommend you do the same. :)

CC, If the person won't identify themselves and you feel obligated by a right to privacy, then we will never know.

It is difficult to form opinion on this, if CC is genuinely deterring future clients of the offended just for the sakes of laughs then it is out of order, the forum is just a forum, not a place to take things so seriously it can destroy a personas livelihood, I'm sure we all agree that. And I for one have not read anything he has written that could be considered professionally damaging, but then I haven't read all his posts.

I'm 100% in agreement about those who run to the mods or robert if they can't take the heat. In an adults real world people don't care what Is said on a forum in banter, it goes with the territory. People can get so wound up and take things so personally on here it can sometimes make you wonder how they make it through life if so easily offended. But it is impossible to form an opinion until the offended is known.

The obvious would be Chip, but he doesn't have a business does he? Pich can stick up for himself, so that leaves...............?

CC-you are not accountable for his alleged loss of customers, HE IS. Plus, he is not an advertiser on this site, so you owe him nothing.

If his business is being adversely affected by his internet interactions, he can either stop posting or change his delivery and tone.

As a mod, my best bet is to keep behind-the-scenes communications to an absolute minimum. Any explanations should be concise and brief.

And if the issue cannot be resolved in one or two sentences to the offended party's satisfaction, I tell said offended party to contact Robert.

Or you can ignore the pm. Either way the person will get the hint.

I in fact do have a business. However, when have I ever been afraid to confront anyone on this board in the threads? Good grief. Nice try though. :)

I didn't realise you had a business Chip, excuse me. So it is you? lol:bunny:
