loaded up the ATV and had a safety chain welded in case the trailer popped off (never did a long trip before, with the ATV and trailer). 20 minutes welding work cost like RD$600, off some side street in Puerto Plata.

Drive from POP to LT was like 3.5 hours but I went pretty slow (50mph max) since it was first trip with trailer.

On the way back about 3hours (60mph max)

The new toll highway from Nagua to LT save a good bit of time and is very scenic.

Got stopped by AMET bec trailer didnt have matricula but my local buddy pulled the 'colonel' card.

I know that dog. I've also seen him grab a crab for a quick snack. Great pics! LT is my favorite place in the DR.

The long beach with the notable angled palm tree is next to Casa Coson (yes near Luis Restaurant), not sure what the name of the beach is, maybe Playa Coson, not sure. its about a 10 minute drive on the new highway, from LT town.

The other beaches in the earlier photos are Playa Bonita and the main beach at Las Terrenas.
