It's $165 if you do the payment plan instead of the one time pay of $120+shipping I might get one for here in the states. It is a fridge/warmer after all and not just a cooler. I think it would be great if you are running off of solar and just have a few items to keep cold. Have you seen what they charge for $20 coolers in the DR??

We actually have a similar one, picked it up at a garage sale in NJ for $5. :classic:

Does a good job too.

I had one of those 12v coolers on my boat and it was great....running about 4-5 amps, which is a lot. The more expensive ones starting at USD$800 run at .05 amps.

I was going to mention how notoriously inefficient they are and will drain a battery in a real hurry. OK of plugged into a running motor with an alternator, however.

Weighs 14 pounds when empty.

The Kargo Kooler measures 20 by 14 by 16 inches (length by width by height).
It would cost a lot to $hip it here.

.05 amps at 12 volts is 0.6 watts - Nothing of any use is going to get cold using 0.6 watts so I have to ask you to please check your facts.
