    Default 2001 Exchange Rate

Does anyone possibly know what the USD to DOP rate was on 24/12/01?

I may need it for an insurance claim

    Thanks.

Info I found says about 15.48/1
I remember using 15 as my 'calculate in my head' # when I started living here in 2000.
Was about 12 or 13/1 way back when I started travelling here in the early 90's.

    Beat me to it, Matilda.

JDJones is exactly right. According to the:

    For BANCOS COMERCIALES

Fortunately, as Pichardo reminds us, the DR is on the gold standard which is clearly helping to keep the valuation of the Dominican peso stable for decades on end.
