Hi,
I work for a school in a small village, and we would like to get satellite Internet. Who should we get it from, and how much would it cost?

www via a Dish

We have been using such an internet access via satellite since 2003.
Installation is not cheap, but monthly rates are moderate. The service is very reliable and I would not change it for a local provider.

There are several plans for various upload/download speeds and with our service there is a daily traffic allowance limit (which I hardly ever exceed).

The smaller dish is for internet, the larger for TV.

More details via PM.

No Jodetel

... what Velocities are available?

Satellite internet is for people who can't get (reliable) service from a local provider (area without coverage) or want to be independent from DR infrastructure (which in my case serves my philosophy... ).

The speeds are nothing to write home about.
Down / Up (3 plans):
1.0 Mbps/200 Kbps
1.5 Mbps/250 Kbps
2.0 Mbps/300 Kbps

I have the cheapest plan and it gives me all I need.
VoIP is possible.
Video Streaming and downloading movies: NO.
