[h=5]Currently employees of a contractor are constructing a quite larger drainage system along the road near nightclub High Caribbean. With this construction the municipal administration hopes to make an end to the recurrent floods. The bend near the nightclub was some decades ago the bed of a river. In a tropical rain shower, the water still floats towards this bed and this makes the road impassable for hours. Often the water stands 3 feet high! There was a sewer, but that could not handle a sudden increased flooding. With the construction of this new ample drainage system, the government hopes that the water burden will be something of the past.[/h]
