Can anyone recommend a good Endocrinologist in POP or Santiago?

I have been advised by Dr. Medina at CMC hospital, Sosua to make an appointment to see an Endocrinologist with regard to my significant unexplained weight loss over the past 18 months.

My preference would be someone in Puerto Plata but Santiago will also be fine. Most importantly, it needs to be a doctor who can speak with me in English and will also accept my Monumental health insurance.

Any recommendations please?

Maybe SD will offer a better choice - you shouldn't limit yourself, you know.

Agree !! For a skilled specialist and diagnostician in that field one absolutely must travel to Santiago.

Dr. Latingua 809 261 4756 in Gregorio Hernandez, Puerto Plata is very good. But make shure you go to the right one, because the hospital has also a gynecolog with the same name. He also works by appointment. I don`t know if his secretary (to make the appointment) speaks english, but he does.

I am curious if the doctor at CMC gave a referral to an endocrinologist. It sounds like he just left that up to you but I may have interpreted that incorrectly. Of course it is good to find the best.
