If I find a buyer for my car, what are the next steps? What paperwork would I need, and where would I get it? Would I need a lawyer for anything, and am I to pay for lawyer or the buyer? Would the process be the same if i sold the car to a used car dealership? Thanks for your help on this, I need to do this correctly when the time comes.:classic:

You need to have an AD to post on DR1 to post this info

We are not a selling service and do not intend to be.
Ads pay for our expenses.

You need to have a sale document (documento de venta) which is to be notarized. The vehicle has to be checked by the police. You take ththe paper the police gives you, the sale document and the vehicle ownership title (la matricula) signed at the back by you, to the DGII. There you pay the taxes and a new matricula is generated for the new owner. Usually the buyer pays for all the expenses.
