The DR is painted with a very broad brush. It the ratings were based on the North Coast, for example, it is not likely the DR would even be on the list.

Blog title is "All Women Stalk". Nice. Most of the descriptions posted common knowledge/common sense type information. New Zealand is #19 because conservation lands draw in thrill seekers who die. Australia is #18 because it has dangerous critters out to get you. Really? No sources of info. are provided either. All countries are painted with a broad brush and this is not something I would put too much stock in.

damn, no! as a child i watched sindbad cartoons. there was no danger. there was a city of thousand faces, mysterious and alluring. i wanted to see it. i dreamed about adventure. it was long before the war.

yeah, but how many turistas die in DR? not that many. they do not even get to see that much of DR. what's the worse that can happen to you in all inclusive? a case of herpes from a friendly waiter?
