An ATM service worker who allegedly swiped $110,000 from two Manhattan machines ? and replaced the dough with bogus bills ? the day before his birthday was nabbed at JFK Airport yesterday.
He had burned through the cash partying in the Dominican Republic, law-enforcement sources said.
Cops received a tip that suspect Jean Carlo Pena was on a 3 p.m. JetBlue flight and were waiting for him with handcuffs as he walked off the plane, the sources said.
None of the stolen money has been recovered, sources said.
?He was partying, and he also rented a [lavish] automobile [while in the DR],? one source said.
Pena was federally charged with embezzlement and dealing with counterfeit cash.
On Oct. 8 ? the day before he turned 26 ? Pena serviced two ATMs at Chase branches in Midtown.
He allegedly filled them with forged bills with printing on only one side after he pocketed the real cash, the sources said.
Two customers notified bank employees after easily spotting the fake bills.
