The Best Dominican Hospitals

I have been treated in the ER and as an inpatient at Centro Medico Bournigal in Puerto Plata. It was FAR from being acceptable, let alone a "best" hospital!

I took my Father several times to INDEN(Diabetic Hospital in Santo Domingo) and recently to Clinicas Corominas. I thought both facilities were of very good quality. I did not go in expecting Mount Sinai or NY Presbyterian...but he received kind, caring attention to detail - to the nth degree. Certainly the genuine care factor was as good or better than he received from any US facility. The doctors were professional, facilities clean and were willing to help at every turn. I certainly can not complain about any where from a $1.50 Blood glucose check to a $38 doctor visit. Those will never be seen in the US. Try either of these facilities for good care

overall it was a fantastic experience. million times better than what i have seen in a polish hospitals. yes, we may have better specialists and equipment in general but for your normal procedures dominican private hospitals beat poland every time. my suite was like a hotel, the nurses were super attentive and all happened with so little pain and trouble it felt more like holiday that a hospital stay.

CEDIMAT is the closest thing to a US hospital you will find in the DR!
