Medicare
Medicare lately some company has been advertizing that medicare is available here in the D.R. Is this true or is another scam. Its in the news papers. Does anyone know any thing about this?
Be careful. My guess is it's a scam. Get their information then talk to medicare in the US to verify the particulars. If you can't call the US for free look into the services that allow you to call without charges.
I use a magicJack. Google phone is an option among others.
US Medicare is NOT available in the DR.
The only exceptions to Medicare being used in medical facilities outside the US is when you live in the US and a foreign facility, such as in Canada, is closer than the closest US hospital.
