Wheather in August?

A companion and myself will be at Casa Del Mar the second week of August'01. Can someone please give me an accurate weather forcast? Yahoo's been claiming rain for the past four weeks. Also, if anyone can give me any feedback as to what I can expect from Casa Del Mar in terms of location, beache, service etc... that would be greatly appreciated.

Expect a beach hotel. From Casa del Mar you have easy access to take excursions to Saona Island. Visit Mano Juan and Palmilla area known as La Piscina, a natural pool like beach. Lovely. Nearby is Casa de Campo's Altos de Chavon. Also, you can take an excursion to Rancho Capote and the Fun Fun cave, or to the Plantacion Tropical, tropical plants botanical garden, complete with butterfly cage, and other natural wonders. Recommended.

The weather in August... chances are you will have few days with short showers and the rest of the time the sun will be blazing. Bring lots of sun block.
