i vaguely remember this place on the way to Le Passions. it had another name.

That is the original Passions, in front of The Blue Dolphin complex, how is Big John these days, looks like he sold this bar for the 14th time, good for him!

Is that next to Velvet Mikes old place. The old Passions? I hope they power washed the floors real well before remodeling!!!!!!

You are correct sir, I believe I met you that fine establishment a few years back.

It's been there for quite a while under several different names, including "Sleezees" if I remember correctly. I believe thats where the "S"'s on the window shutters came from.
And if I recall correctly, the orginal Passions was a bit further down to the left. The building that was constructed on the sight has also had many different names, but I think the first was "The Velvet Glove"?

I believe it is owned or managed by a Haitian guy and is staffed by Haitianas. Very nice place, very well run and often quite busy. Only beef I had was the music was too loud (where isn't it in Sosua?), they do play about a 50/50 mix of Dominican and Haitian music
