What is of interest in this piece from today's Sosua News is not that Politur had a dinner celebrating 12 years, but what the Colonel said at the dinner.

[h=5]It is twelve years since the corps tourist police (Politur) was officially founded. For Colonel Ram?n E. Jimenez Pe?a, commander of the Politur on the north coast, reason to celebrate this with a fancy dinner.[/h] [h=5]Politur celebrates 12 year anniversary[/h]
[h=5]The dinner took place in La Canoa restaurant in El Batey. For dinner, all officers and the commander Major Francisco A. Rodr?guez Rodr?guez of Sos?a were invited. The colonel first proposed a toast then he explained the stricter policy to increase the safety for tourism. There will be stricter and more consistent actions against noise, parking illegally and against nuisance of Motoconchos. The colonel said that this should not be taken as criticism of his predecessors. But the security of tourism in Sos?a (and the north coast) has the highest priority, which requires of all officers of Politur an increased commitment and vigilance.[/h]

I hope what he said represents a "Light At The End Of The Tunnel", and not just another "On coming Train"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
