Can anyone suggest sightseeing tips for a group of ex-pats going on
a two-day bus trip to Jarabacoa & Constanza.
We are planing to stay at the Gran Jimenoa (in Jarabacoa) and
drive over the new road to Constanza.
Can we make arrangements to visit a farm there?
Any help will be appreciated.

  • Salto Jimenoa.
  • River rafting with Rancho Baiguate or Rancho Jarabacoa.
  • You'll enjoy Hotel Gran Jimenoa.
  • Lunch @ Cerro Alto in Constanza
  • Lunch or dinner @ Jarabacoa River Club

Take a dip in the cool waters of El Arroyazo

If the bus is small enough and you don't mind a bumpy ride, check out the second tallest waterfall in the Caribbean, Aguas Blancas (the first is also in the DR).

For a farm or produce tour in Constanza, contact the local Cluster Organization Constanza Turismo ? Inicio I know tours like this are offered for groups.

You won't be able to go this time, but maybe next time go a a few thousand feet higher to my favorite place in the Dominican Republic - Valle Nuevo

Many thanks to Cobraboy and Caribeendreamto.
We are driving up there from Costambar this coming weekend.
All of the suggestions should be well received, with the possible exception of the
river rafting. We and our friends tend to be older folks for whom a trip outside the gates of
Costambar is usually limited to short trips into town, during the day.
