I have some items that I no longer need.
Others may also have some items they don't need.
Some of us may need "Something" we don't have, that others may want to give away.
What if we had a thread on DR1, where "DR1ers" could list items they no longer need or want.
Others can do the same.
Everything would be at no cost.
You come and pick it up, It's Yours!!!!
That's what they call, "Freecycle" in the USA.
For example, I have two iron inverter battery holders, each holds 4 batteries.
They bolt to the wall, anywhere you need.
At least I think I do, my father-in-law sells anything he thinks I won't miss.
I'll check and see if they are still here.
I like the idea, and use "Freecycle" to get free stuff to send down here.
If enough "DR1ers" show an interest, I'll petition Robert.

Good idea...

I used to post similar posting way back on craiglist. As I moved out from bigger apartment to smaller apartment I was forced pay if I left some stuff. I posted ad on some of the stuff friends, family and neighbor did not wanted on craigslist and everything was gone within 3 hours from the curve. LTSteve said is true "One man"s junk is another man's treasure."

This is a good idea that has similarities to "bartering" which is becoming more popular especially in depressed areas with weak currencies... This may be our future source for trade while the FEDs devalue currency to wallpaper. If you have something to offer yet nothing available is of interest, you receive credits for future selection.

Freecycle works, I've used it several times to give away things too good to throw out but that I didn't want or need anymore.

On Freecycle, you can also post "Wanted" items - just a thought for here. Also, on Freecycle there are different 'forums' for different areas. If it gets popular here, we can set up several threads for SD, North Coast, East Coast, etc.
