On January 9th I went to el Seibo(ei Serbo for compensating cibae?os), and when getting off the bus, a motoconcho driver yelled, "D?MELO, RUBIO!"

Now, I'm not even close to being white or rubio. In fact, I'm the opposite: a morenito, and not of the cepillao variety.

Thinking back, I should've taken up the ride to my destination, and I should've doubled the fare.

Only in D.R.

I used to play basketball in H-Town, and the Mexicans on the opposite teams called me "el negrito."

Rubio en R.D. y negrito en los Estados Juntos.
