Never make an appointment for 1, 7, 10, 11 or 12 as there is no "1" or "7'.

"R"
This truly is clock made for Dominicans.
It does have 1 and 7. If you look at one looks like < pointing upward, you can pass that as 1 and one that look like X is 7. If I give them 0 = 12. This clock just don't have 10 and 11 o'clock but as friens and watchie say "es todo bien". You just have to tell everyone it isn't their fault and make excuses.

Haha nice...If you want a Dominican to be on time (Including me) just tell us we're supposed to be there 1 hour earlier. I was just watching over the weekend a show called "Quiero mi Boda" - Was browsing through Hulu and found it - where a Dominican girl was marrying a Hindu guy from Guyana. The show was more about the cultural differences. Anyhow time for the wedding? The Dominican girl is about an hour late...for her own wedding :p:p:p:p

My dominican ex-wife was about an hour late for our wedding, too. Then the "madrina" was late, too. The judge said she was leaving after the agreed two-hour time frame, wedding or no wedding. In the end, we had to pick a makeshift "madrina" and move on. The judge rushed through the proceedings, declared us man and wife and left, all within 20 or 25 mins...
The original "madrina" complained that we didn't wait for her. She said she had come all the way from NY to be there, and we were being unfair to her...que cojones...

when our friend (dominicano) was getting married in santiago we went to pick him at at 7pm, for 7pm wedding. by the time we arrived to his house, waited for him to finish dressing up and arrived to church it was already 7.30 or so. when we were leaving the house his sister just washed her hair. smart gal, she arrived to hear "yes" and only had to endure about 5 minutes or wedding boredom :)
