Hello, I am looking for short term furnished apartment rental in SD or Santiago, I need an apartment for couple of weeks or a month. Is this kind of apartments availabe in the DR? Any information of where to locate these apartments is greatly appreciated.

craigs list and sublet, com are two sites that I have heard of

otherwise folks just use aparthotels.

No idea , but if ure looking for a couple of months of furnished rental in POP, PM for a 2nd floor apparment in a nice house with garden, quite cheap.

Try Santo Domingo apartments. Santo Domingo Apartments - your home away from home in the Dominican Republic. I have stayed in these furnished apartments several times. The owner is excellent and the apartments are nice and secure and in a good location. There are reviews written on Trip Advisor.

Go to the DR1 Home Page, click on RENTALS, then click on BY LOCATION, then click on SANTO DOMINGO. We stayed in one of the listings for two months, very nice and accommodating owners. On the malecon. They rent by the week or the month, if I remember correctly they have at least 6 apartments between two side-by-side houses.
