On Santo Domingo Invita a few weeks ago they had a feature on a place up in Jarabacoa and I think it is what you are looking for. I can't remember the exact name but it was Rancho something. It has a bunch of wooden casitas that you can rent. Also they cook and brew coffee in a setting from 100 years ago.
Any suggestions for a nice resort type, for horseback riding, nice walks and good restaurant.
Their hotel isn't done. Plus they just signed a dealio with a mega-ritzy boutique hotel/restaurant management company. They will run it.What about Hamaca de Dios? Isn't that up in those hills nearby? I still haven't made it up there yet.
