Can anyone assist me in locating a retailer or company that supplies Dish Network receivers , services in the DR?

It is not "legal" to receive DISH network in the DR, but it is possible.

You can contact someone who will set up a billing address for you in the US and provide you with the receiver and a way to pay for the monthly fee.

The other way is to use what used to be called FTA.

Or just do it from your own , or a friend's US address...... you can attach multiple dishes to one account.

Find a friend in the US and attach yourself to that account....the dish, box, etc can be found here

one expat I knew used this guy in SD to set him up with this service. But I lost his details.

Indeed. That is why I mentioned that there is no "legal" way to get DISH in the DR.

In Sosua - DeLancer. They buy/steal the signals. They have connects in Florida that they work with. I also use their internet which makes me appear as if I have a Florida IP address. But seriously they are just a local cable provider they don't actually sell you the dish or a direct service with Dish Network. So my comments aren't helping you, just funny. As windeguy said it is not legal.

Same issue. Looking for a satellite guy that can install here in Sosua. I have the receiver, no dish and US address. just need to setup and install. Anyone no someone in the area?

Dolfi 809-224-3111 can do it. Not sure if the number is current. A lot of Dr1's use him.
