Just got mine!
112 pesos a pound.
Came out of the "Back" on ice, while I waited.
It's "FOXY" brand from California I believe.Bought 2 pounds, which is quite a bit.
"Vegetarian Lollipops" are on the menu!

"Ricky", I just read YOUR post.
Now I feel even better!
It freezes well, so buy a lot, "Blanch" it in boiling salted water for about 30 seconds, plunge into ice water bath, and freeze in plastic bags. "Suck Out" as much air as you can when you close the bag!(Normally I would post some dumb comment about getting a "Cuero" to help you, but "Asparagus" is serious business!)

Thanks CCCCC for the info about freezing them....Has anybody tried the same way you would freeze blueberries?
Freeze individually on a cookie sheet and then ziplock them? That might make it easier to stop them from "blocking" together..
Anybody?

They're yummy. Bought one bunch last week in Punta Cana for 270 pesos (of course the price wasn't posted anywhere) and they were nice and crisp. Enjoy!

Yes Fly. That will work fine. No need to blanch them.
I freeze 5 pounds of the good sticks every summer up
here and eat it all year long...

"Blanching" keeps them nice and green, and kills any "Bugs".
Some people freeze them in a container of water.
It supposedly keeps them from getting "Freezer Burn".
"It's All GOOD"!
Lots of "Stinky Pee" coming soon!
