"Cabarete" a nice place?

In october this year me and my family are moving from the UK to the North Coast and have identified "cabarete" as a possible place to set up camp. Anyone out there got any experences/ veiws/opinions of this as an area?

Cabarete is an excellent starting place. I don't recommend signing a long term lease until you have a look at Sosua and other gated communities in the area before you sign into anything long term. There are plenty of english speakers in the area to help you with your decision once you get here.

Hi Martin,

I agree with Marc , a nice place to start but you really need to look around. A lot to consider especially with a family. Security, a generator, water supply jsut for starters. We moved here from Kentucky, USA in June and have an 8 & 9 yr. old. Be glad to help out and share experiences. Sharon
