Not if you currently live in another part of the DR. First of all where are you coming from? Yes it will be a problem just trying to get it on a plane. You would have to check with the airlines as to their size restrictions coming into the DR. Also, if by some miracle it arrives in the DR in one piece you will pay a HUGE duty on this. Suggestion, downsize and buy a new TV in the DR. You will probably pay enough duty that bringing that size TV is prohibitive.

The least expensive option is to use a Dominican Door to Door moving service if you are near one of those in the USA.

Otherwise, it probably is not worth the trouble. If you are Canadian, Canadian airlines are more lenient than US airlines for carrying TVs.

Should cost you between 5 & 600 US dollars to use a "Dominican/American "Door-To-Door" shipper, "IF" you live in their "Pick Up Area".
That is your total amount.
They take care of Dominican customs.
Takes about 1 month to get here.

You're both right, BUT still no guarantee the screen will arrive intact. We sometimes have broken items. For example, in one of the 7 boxes we shipped down this year, I had packed a big set of 'Huggable Hangers' because they're strong and slim and our closet isn't big, so we can get more in there. There were about 15 broken ones, snapped completely. The outer box didn't show damage.

We have a 55" in NJ, and the box it came in was IMMENSE. When we're ready, we'll buy one in Santo Domingo instead.

"At The End-Of-The-Day", it is now the best choice to buy TV's and home appliances here in the DR.
You find it, you take it home, or they bring it, you use it!
You have a warrantee, for whatever that is worth here. :ermm::ermm::angry::angry: or once in a while, :surprised:surprised:laugh::laugh::laugh:
