All of post number 2 applies as well as

- working for a living
- a higher cost of living
- going often to music concerts other live music shows at clubs
- driving while obeying the laws
- driving among other people who obey the law
- traded great weather for pretty good weather
- Good and inexpensive California wines
- Food variety at restaurants (improving slightly here over time)
- air conditioning (hardly ever used it anyway in California)
- reasonably priced automobiles
- reasonably priced electronic gear

I've given up drinking soda, beer or any alcoholic beverages, candy, fast food joints (i.e. McDonalds, Burger King), red meat (pollo y pescado solamente) and canned peaches and fruit cocktail (both in pear juice not syrup!). I haven't had any of these since moving here. The only thing that I crave is the canned peaches and fruit cocktail. I only gave these up because they're just too damn expensive here.

You must be a lot healthier here then. Beer is cheaper in the DR than most places on earth, same with rum.

your in Santiago anything you used to get in red lobster you can get in dr but fresher.
In nyc dominicans gave me the best haircuts, now im in fl i dont even like taking pictures anymore. just because of how my hair looks. lol

the rest i would agree with kind of.

I have seen blond dominican women with blue eyes but im not sure how natural she was.

Being far from my parents. As for food I just found things here to take the place of the things I missed from back home. Makes the trips back to the US something to look forward to. I guess one thing though, 24/7 luz. That is something I never knew how much I took for granted until the first time I experienced a "blackout" here.
