La Sirena is carrying them too - 59.99.

They are from a new brand created by one of the owners of the restaurant El Agave - brand is Nopal.

Should find them at churchil, Galeria 360, puerto plata, and Polas.

From time to time they sell them fresh in the supermarkets.

Also can buy them canned at
    Gastronomia Mexicana
    Tel: 809 412-0675
Calle Erik Leonard Ekman 37, Arroyo Hondo

That is basically behind the Almacenes Unidos hardware store.

Very good restaurant, too. Go for dinner and do some shopping.

    Any luck in Santiago?

Here's a great recipe for pickling them if you find them.

I skip the marjoram and thyme(and the cauliflower) and add a few cinnamon sticks.

I would befriend the managers of the big supermarkets -- Nacional, Pola, Bravo.
If the jalapenos show up in Santo Domingo, they should be available for the stores nationwide.
Ask and they can check with their suppliers.
They are being grown here for sure.

Or, grow your own in a "Paint Bucket"!
Just be sure to wash out the paint first!
