KDK seems to hold up best. Not the most stylish but serves good basic needs.

KDK is recommended for people with Inverters.. That is what I was told.. Was one of my FIRST purchases when I came to the Island.. well 3 fans, and 1 inverter ;)

We have KDK for ceiling fan, and Lasko for floor/oscillating fans. The more expensive "brand" names like Westinghouse just don't move the air as well.

Have you tried it with a dimmer switch?

I've got one of these, and I love it to death. It even has a remote control. I put mine facing up, and the whole room feels cooler.

What a brilliant idea, I googled it briefly but couldn't find anything.
In the meantime, I placed the fan at the opposite side of the room and I'm enjoy the continuous breeze.
A little noisy but it feels nice.

Try Universal 26 inches industrial. Noisy but like an airplane. Great in the living room. 5000pesos. I use Daiwa for over 10 years in others rooms 2000p.

I noticed that the Lasko fan is quite sensitive to dust. After suspecting that the fan was running slower than before, I decided to clean up the blade and wow what a difference did it make! Just today I noticed the same thing and wiping the blade restored the full power to the fan.
