Tricom selects Huawei for LTE network deployment

Dominican Republic operator Tricom has selected Huawei's SingleRAN CDMA/LTE system to migrate from their existing CDMA to LTE network.
The new LTE network will be used to provide voice and ultra-wideband mobile communication services in the Dominican Republic.
Huawei provided Tricom with a SingleRAN CDMA/LTE system with business consulting services to deploy CDMA 1x EV-DO and LTE in the 800MHz and 1900MHz bands.
Tricom's LTE network will cover the capital city of Santo Domingo and other major cities from the start, with further network deployment planned this year to expand coverage.
The deployment will bring mobile broadband services to Tricom's customers.
