A of late a lot of private investors have started to develop areas of the country, outside of the regular Santo Domingo or Santiago city centers as well as away from tourist poles.

This is but one of those in Mao:

Nice. I'm sure these condos will be a lot more reasonably priced than those in popular tourist destinations. Some retirees are looking for this.

Nice looking project. Curious about the pricing also, but can't find a website. Looks like they might be fairly small lots, but nothing wrong with that.

I was thinking the same thing. They will probably make a nice second (weekend) home for those living in Santiago who can't afford Jarabacoa as well.

It's good to see developments like these. However, I hope the development is controlled and reasoned so as not to turn the country into a massive urban sprawl. I think a lot of these projects are marketed towards those Dominicans living in the US who will be moving back "home" to retire.

I hate to play the "devil's advocate", but brochures, artist's renderings, a partially completed front gate are all a LONG WAY from a completed project. I hope it gets built, it looks like it could be nice.

I saw a couple of "front gates" in Moca on my way back from Jarabacoa this week. They have been "front gates" for years now.

If its not built don't buy it, unless you have title insurance or insurance based on completion stages.

A better mountain option would be toward San Jose de la Matas or Janico...

Still very reasonably priced but a little less developed. The development is what attracts folks to Jarabacoa, supply/demand.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I am just finishing a report on this subject for a property owner in this area but lives in the states

Anything more you can tell me about theses project? Started then stopped? Or....?

Take a trip to "Punta Cana"!
There is still time to buy a "LOT", a LOT of sand that is!
IF YOU ABSOLUTELY must buy, NEVER A GOOD IDEA HERE, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, buy a completed house, in a completed project!!!!
The "Club House", POOL, and Golf Course are always "Going" to be completed "SOON"!
"Take The Money and RUN" is the "Motto" of too many developers here!

"Pichardo" just has a new client he is "Spamming" for! :bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit:
"Nada Mas, Ni Nada Menos"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will notice that the "project" is all computer generated, nothing actually built!
