The Puerto Plata 10K marathon is set for 7am of Sunday, 2 June. The event attracts local and international runners. Some 500 runners are expected to participate. The route is along the Manolo Tavarez Justo avenue, crossing the Puerto Plata Malecon and streets of the Victorian city of Puerto Plata to end in the historic Central Park. The race activities start at 6:15am with a warm up to the beat of zumba. Registration is RD$500. Categories are 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ for women and men. The event is organized by Wise Planners.
