Hello,

Has anyone been to the Aroma de la Montana recently that would be able to give me an idea of menu prices?

My family and I will be staying at Rancho Las Guazaras, any idea how far it would be from the restaurant?

any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tracy

It may be one of the best restaurants in the country. It's definitely pricy. But the views on a claer day or night are spectacular...

Thanks... I also tried and it didn't work.

There is a menu on their site, just no prices..

I still think going for the view would be worth it!

We loved it, and prices weren't outrageous. When we went in, we were five adults, we decided if it was too much we'd have appetizer and drink then leave. We stayed and loved it. Wish I remembered the total but it wasn't bad for what we got, and the view was priceless. Maybe high for DR but similar to NJ. Maybe 20-25 pp?

Thank you! I have already decided that I want to go even if we just do a dessert. :)

Now I need to figure out a way to get there...

We had a chance to have a very special dining experience at Aromas de la Monta?as a few weeks ago, one that was filmed for a project we're doing. Frank12 took some pics.

We gave the owner of Jamaca de Dios a request to serve what they do best. They brought platter after platter, and we all got to sample it all. It was an amazing experience, the best we've had in the DR by far.

Unfortunately, that evening the mountain was enshrouded in clouds, so we couldn't get any shots of Jarabacoa at night, one of the purposes of our visit.

The awesome fire table, fantastic for a cold evening:

Our welcome drink, an incredible mix of Midori, fresh Chinola, and a fresh strawberry:

Fried platano strips with an amazing bruschetta:

Fried coconut shrimp in Chinola shell (prolly where the fruit came from in our welcome cocktail). I remember the cocktail sause as being an interesting papaya base:

Not 100% sure all in this, but it's eggplant, onion, cheese and cukes all sauteed in a yummy balsamic vinegar base:

Amazing churrasco and salmon were also served, as well as some other dishes I forgot and of which we didn't get photos. Too busy chewing and pouncing on food before someone else did.

Food sharing requires concentration:
