For years athletes from the neighborhood complained about the miserable state of the spectators stand, poor lighting and the soggy pitch. Currently, the stands are demolished and replaced by a brand new grandstand. Also, the playing field is leveled and provided with a new grass field. The walkway also will be provided with new asphalt. The sports field is intensively used by the youth of La Uni?n. But not only that, it is also used for regular events such as music and dance performances, patronales and religious gatherings.[/h]
