schooner tip 1
Seawinds project built illegally in the 60 meters with 3 floors and 4 floors on the ground behind illegally too. Conseguieron permissions which was built after the proyecto.y also has several presidential decrees.

It has sparked a great war via digital post from new investors, who want to build new hotels and Real Estate and environmentalists who advocate the wildlife, the sea breeze, water sports and the beach, as the first struggle to get the permission of place for the start of his works, the second barrage of criticism unleashed against these constructions, and non-compliance of the agreements reached between the Government and members of the institutions that group already established in Cabarete, while MITUR to be on the safe command to do a study to see if indeed the new buildings would harm the practice of extreme sports, this tourist source. This is one of the response of Peter Orr, past president of ADECA. More than three years after the presidential decree that approved the land use plan of Cabarete see a series of attempts to undermine its provisions, particularly restrictions on the height of buildings facing the beach. These restrictions were included in the plan with the support of the Cabaretenses not only for aesthetic reasons. To protect the future of Cabarete as a water sports center, the plan incorporated the local lessons and all the way to show that the height of buildings facing the beach affects the wind on the beach and contributes to beach erosion. There are economic interests that want to eliminate those regulations or get special permission not to respect them. Those interests are behind the cynical proposal funds research MITUR wind in Cabarete. Their motive is just as those who deny the existence of climate change, to question the evidence to follow practices that threaten the environment. But in this case, much less complicated than climate change, one does not have to be a scientist to understand that the wind does not pass through a solid object without being deflected in front and around that object. And it should not be difficult to understand what science shows that the disturbance of the wind in front of a building is directly related to the height and size of the building. The intention of those who say that a wind study is necessary is quite clear. In the last year have applied for and got permission to violate MITUR regulations on building heights established in the Land Use Plan of Cabarete. Neither existing regulations or existing science stopped them. The purpose of the proposed study is nothing more than cast doubt on the legitimacy of regulations while still permitting business to violate the regulations. If MITUR have the resources for an in Cabarete, wear them for a study to Cabarete need. The technicians hired by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources who studied the currents of our coast in 2006 in preparation for the restoration project of Cabarete Beach said more study was needed to determine how you can make local modifications in the coastal currents bringing sand to the beach of Cabarete to reduce beach erosion and possibly create a natural beach restoration. That study was not done and now we have lost great part of our beach. That is the study that finally MITUR must finance.

Cabarete
Why am I not surprised that there is the possibility that Cabarete officials can be bribed?

After all, the mayor himself is currently facing several charges of alleged illegal dealings.

Yes. We care.

We have been in litigation with a powerful group from Russia for OVER 10 years. They have broken just about every law but give "tips" when caught. They have harassed us beyond your worse nightmare trying to drive us off our property... for 10 years. Others caved and ran but we would not so they kept upping the intimidation.

After 5 hearings in different courts including the Superior and Supreme Courts, changed the laws and that they have lost every one but keep appealing; our legal costs for us is over 100K U.S., our final day in Court is in a week to seek our money back.

We have used the DR1 recommended council and SO impressed with them. Even though it has been 10 years. They worked with us, saw through the **** from them and "others" that they bribed and we kept going.

The price not including the $ is lots of security and, our lives changed considerably.

We DID win, now going for the pay-back. It will not bring back the 10 years of our lives being changed and gone.
