I always thought it was called big liter, but only recently someone told me its big leaguer...anyway, this one surprised me as much as when they send me a cebeno.

By the way my seven year old son was sending me a whatsapp message from his mother's phone, typing 'Oquei!' While he meant OK...it sticks...

I find when I ask for a 2 liter bottle of coke they think I am asking for 2 of them. Calling the 2 liter bottle a liter and passing me a pair.
Der Fish

Maybe if you ask for dos litros de coca cola they get confused, ask for 'un doble litro'

Wouldn't that be "un Yumbo"? ;)
lol...
maybe not.
A friend was at the airport duty free shop where a very loud Dominican was buying perfume for his novia. He kept on saying he was looking for "Yumbo" and my friend could not work out what he meant until he finally swooped on the Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Or perhaps una Yumba? :)

I think they'd say una yumbo as it's una cerveza or una botella you're asking for.

It gets even weirder because it's spelled jumbo, but you never hear it pronounced that way.

You gotta love Dominican Spanish.
