Any1 can recommend me a good petshop to go buy a dog in Santo Domingo? (Maybe birds too) With a lot of different race

I want a nice dog that wasnt in the street before, i dont care paying high price but i want a baby dog, clean, good health etc...

You can find dogs for sale on various street corners. I went to a corner near the monument. The guy didnt have what I wanted so he took me to another corner and found what I wanted there. Bought it, took to the vet and took him home. Two weeks later it was stolen. Birds of the fancy kind like big parrots can be found at a shop on the highway to La Vega. I found them a bit expensive. Also for smaller birds , budjies, cocatoos, and lovebirds I found at a koisok in the jumbo mall. A pair of lovebirds there was 2500 pesos alone and 4000 with a cage. Im sure there are more. Good luck

Calle Mella near the Zona Colonial has loads of pet shops and are pretty cheap, they sell dogs, birds etc

I suggest you find a reputable breeder to get a dog. You won't find anything decent in a petshop.

Sorry, but a very touchy subject for me... stores who sell all kinds of breeds should be banished...

The pups will have been taken away to soon from the mom, places like that will have all kind of diseases, etc...

And no, we do not breed anymore, but our feelings toward such places remain the same.

Your best place to buy a dog in the DR is in a veterinaria. They can offer 100% guarantee that your dog will not be a time bomb waiting to go off.

I could recommend you one, but don't know if that's kosher in the threads here on DR1?

We always got our family and work (K-9) dogs from them in Santiago.

He always knows people selling pets, but I don't think they are breeders at all. Just house pets that have puppies and need to find home for them.
