From Friday, August 9 to Sunday, August 18th for the sixth time, the Independence Festival will be held at the Town Hall Square (La Plaza Independencia) in Puerto Plata. During these festive days there will be performances by bands, folkloric dance groups and theater performances take place. Furthermore, every day there will also be cultural events such as art exhibitions, including Taino art and a gourmet feast.
