Moves to the D.R this summer
Anyone know where to find Swim diapers/Swim pants for babies/toddlers in Sto.Dgo? We were thinking about going to a pool this week but with the stress of moving to another country I forgot to buy them in Sweden (where I would know where to find them) and bring with me for our son.

Super Mercados National has the largest selection of diapers, or, as the Dominicans call ALL Diapers, "Pamper"!
"JUMBO" is the same Spanish owned company, so you can try both.
Not too sure the Dominicans will allow a baby in a pool with "Pamper" on, or not????
There was a thread here a few weeks ago about a British tour group that left an "All Inclusive Resort" after a Dominican Adult took an"DUMP" in the pool, so MAYBE YOU DON'T EVEN NEED DIAPERS!

Those 'swim up' bars always give me pause.....

I see a lot of people arriving and very few leaving.......makes one wonder about bladder control

Hehe, we use ALOT of chloro and other chems almost every day in our condominium pool. But here there are 56apt, so it could be a tiny leak in a bladder or two helps to increase the amount of "fog" in the water.
Still no unlucky ones has died from pee-poisioning when bathing in the pool, so i believe it is perfectly safe to take a swim- and hopefully they all remember to use the bathroom we have 5meters away from the water....

( Hrm, also need to mention, we removed our swim-in-sit-and-pee-bar some years ago.)

:nervous:

If you can't find them in supermarkets, you should be able to get them in a drug store (Carol)

Thais guys - we found them at Nacional on Maximo Gomez - but does anyone know of the ones that are like a bathing suit / trunks thing? They don't look like diapers but apparently kind of are like them anyway?

Wow, this thread took a weird turn :)

There is no such thing as a "Weird Turn" here on DR1.
That's why we love it so much!

In reply to CC, I saw a great slogan today on a guy's gorro en la 27 con G?mez:

"No es que yo soy raro, es que t? eres muy com?n."

If I were you, I'd go with that defense. :smoke:

If you drink a few cups of Dominican coffee, wait 10 minutes and jump in ANY swimming pool, Yes, even your own "Harley" THE "Yellow River" will begin to flow!
Be sure to act like you are just splashing around, so no one will notice the yellow "Glow" surrounding you!
It is nice and warm in a "Cool Pool"!
But just for a minute.
